Aviation News Item: 00236 9th Oct 2009 European Commission takes Greece to court over Single European Sky Source: ubmaviationnews.com The European Commission has decided to take Greece to the European Court of Justice for failing to establish effective and independent oversight authorities in the context of the Single European Sky. Although Greece has adopted two decrees and their implementing acts to comply with European Community (EC) legislation, which entered into force in April 2004, the country still fails to guarantee the effective and independent exercise of the oversight of air navigation services and hence violates EC law. |
