Aviation News Item: 00233 12th Oct 2009 Bombardier launches ESP for Dash 8-100 Source: ubmaviationnews.com Bombardier has launched an extended service programme (ESP) to extend the life of the Dash 8-100 turboprop from the original 80,000 flight cycles to 120,000. Of the estimated 240 Dash 8-100 in service throughout the world, the OEM expects there would be approximately 100 aircraft that have flown 50,000 or more cycles. The launch customer for the programme is Wideroe's Flyveselskap of Norway. Although initially aimed at the Dash 8-100, the ESP could be expanded to apply to -200 and -300 series aircraft, as they approach the 80,000 cycle mark. |
