Aviation News Item: 00221 15th Oct 2009 Hangar 10 goes ahead with expansion Source: ubmaviationnews.com Hangar 10, an executive aviation services company in Kansas City, Missouri, has broken ground on the second construction phase of its facility at Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport (MKC). The company opened in May after completing the first phase of its planned 91,000ft2 aviation services complex, which included a temporary terminal facility, a 40,000 gallon fuel farm and a ramp to accommodate fully fuelled business aircraft such as a Boeing BBJ. Phase two includes the construction of a permanent terminal building and the first of three planned hangar bays, which will total 56,000ft2 when completed. Two of the hangar bays will be capable of handling Gulfstream 650 and Global Express sized aircraft. |
