Aviation News Item: 00184 28th Oct 2009 FAA awards $106m contract to SAIC to support NextGen Source: ubmaviationnews.com The FAA has awarded Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) a $106m contract to provide programme management and technical services for the NextGen transformation of the US air transportation system. The Virgini-based technology company said it will focus on areas such as safety management systems, aeronautical communications activities, and aviation weather programmes. Work will be performed primarily in Washington, DC and at FAA locations as required. |
