Aviation News Item: 00167 3rd Nov 2009 navAero gains advanced 737NG EFB STC Source: ubmaviationnews.com Chicago-based navAero has been issued an additional STC for its 't.BagC22' electronic flightbag (EFB) on 737NG aircraft to provide Ethernet cross-connectivity of the system's two CPU modules for data sharing. The STC also includes the connections of the EFB systems to the onboard avionics systems to feed the aircraft's position data into the airport moving map (AMM) applications. Additionally, the STC incorporates an UTMS/HSDPA/3G internal CPU module, which has been certified by AT&T and allows for on-the-ground cellular connectivity between the EFB's and the AT&T network for data transfer. |
