Aviation News Item: 00164 4th Nov 2009 SGI Aviation wins training contract from EASA Source: ubmaviationnews.com SGI Aviation has won a framework contract from EASA to deliver academic and 'hands-on' training courses about safety and environmental rules. Aside from the Amsterdam, Netherlands-based aviation industry consultancy firm, the consortium that has been created for the EASA framework contract includes also Lufthansa Consulting (Germany), Lufthansa Technical Training (Germany), Egis Avia (France), Bureau Veritas (France) and CAA International (UK). SGI Aviation will co-ordinate training courses in the English language over a one-year period covering topics that may be related to International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) standards and recommended practices, ramp inspection techniques, safety assessment of foreign aircraft (SAFA) data analysis, European aviation safety rules, and rules on environmental protection in aviation. |
