Aviation News Item: 00157 5th Nov 2009 GE to invest $200m in its Evendale headquarters Source: ubmaviationnews.com General Electric Aviation is to announce a $200m investment programme in its headquarters and manufacturing plant at Evendale, Ohio, today (November 5). Part of the financing comes from an Ohio state tax credit, valued at $115m, which requires the OEM to retain approximately 5,000 jobs over the next 18 years. The company currently employs approximately 7,400 members of staff in the Cincinnati area, most of them at the Evendale plant. |
