Jet Republic to Launch in Belgium
Source: fly-corporate.com
Jet Republic, a new private aviation company, is to launch operations in Belgium.
The company believes that the country's large and growing number of high net worth individuals makes it an attractive market in which to sell its jet card scheme and to offer fractional ownership of its brand new fleet of 110 Bombardier Learjet 60 XR aircraft. The deal, signed in June 2008, is for 25 aircraft to be delivered over the first 22 months. The remaining aircraft will be delivered one every three weeks thereafter.
Jet Republic says that there are some 103,000 people living in Belgium who each have liquid assets of at least $1 million (€646,700), or collectively over €66.61 billion. This is an increase of around 10 per cent since 2006.*
The company's operational management team includes senior personnel who previously worked for companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, NetJets, WhiteConcierge, the Royal Air Force, Air Partner plc, Financial Times Group, TAG Aviation, Execujet, Groundforce ONE, Rolls-Royce, Sotheby's, Siemens, Marriott International, Bombardier, Euram Bank, McKinsey & Co British Airways and Iberia.
Jet Republic is 100% carbon neutral through a partnership with ClimateCare, a European provider of carbon offsets.
