OpenSkies airline operates direct Business Class flights between Paris (Orly Sud), New York (Kennedy) and Amsterdam (Schipol).
Launched in June 2008, this British Airways subsidiary acquired L'Avion, the 100% Business Class French airline with aims to offer an "attractively priced private jet experience".
Most recently OpenSkies has teamed up with Bytron, a British aviation data systems company, which will be providing flight management solutions to OpenSkies as the airline expands its operation into Newark, NJ.
Bytron has been providing flight briefing services to the business-class airline since OpenSkies' inaugural flight in June last year. In line with current services, Bytron is providing its Skybook service plus all crew room equipment, including workstations, printers and network infrastructure, which is remotely monitored from Bytron's base in the UK.
VOIP communications are utilised to allow crews to contact the Bytron Help Desk and the airline operations department in the UK, providing direct support when required. Skybook provides Openskies with approved ETOPS briefings including crew notices as issued by Elysair - OpenSkies flight operations in France.
