ACJ Certificated with 76.5T MTOW

Source: fly-corporate.com

Airbus' Corporate Jetliner (ACJ) has been certificated by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for a new maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 76.5 tonnes, one tonne more than is currently available.

The increase takes the ACJ range with 8 passengers to 6,000 nm/ 11,100 km - an increase of 170 nm/300 km over the standard version - or can be used to increase payload capability on shorter routes.

The increase has been made possible by a new load-alleviation function (LAF), which is offered as an option on new-build aircraft - the first of which was recently delivered - and will soon also be available for retrofit to existing aircraft via service bulletin.
