Nineteen nonprofit organisations have been selected to receive grants from the Rockwell Collins Flood Recovery Fund.

Rockwell Collins established its Flood Recovery Fund after the historic June 2008 floods that extensively damaged parts of Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and other Eastern Iowa communities.

Grants totaling $1,000,800 will help flood-impacted nonprofit organisations pay for capital expenses and rebuilding efforts. The amount represents half of the $2 million that the Rockwell Collins Charitable Corporation set aside last summer for flood recovery efforts. Additional grants will be made available as recovery plans move forward.
