The name of the pilot was not immediately disclosed. Multiple media sources including the Associated Press report that the car was a total loss. The Cub and the car were stuck together after the accident. Both were towed to a hangar near the crash site because the spectacle was causing a traffic jam.
The pilot was the only person on board the plane at the time of the accident. He suffered minor cuts to his hand and arm. No one on the ground was injured.
