Indonesia's Susi Air Takes 30 Grand Caravan and an Avanti II
Source: fly-corporate.com
At the Paris Air Show, Cessna announced an agreement with Indonesia's Susi Air for the purchase of 30 Grand Caravan single-engine turboprops. The manufacturer will deliver eight new Caravans in 2009 and the remainder of the order by the end of 2011.
The 30 Grand Caravans will augment Susi Air's existing fleet of 10 Grand Caravans. Susi Air began operations with two Caravans in December 2006, providing scheduled, individual and executive charter, and cargo service throughout Indonesia, as well as humanitarian airlift support for the region.
Additionally, Susi Air also announced that it'd be adding Piaggio's Avanti II to its fleet, and has taken options on two more. The aircraft will likely be used for medevac purposes and will be outfitted to quickly convert into air ambulance configuration.
