Hawker Beechcraft Corporation has appointed Aviasur as its exclusive Chilean authorised distributor for all Hawker and Beechcraft aircraft models. Aviasur is based in Santiago, and took delivery of the first Beechcraft King Air 350i in South America earlier this year. The firm recently completed construction on a $2.5 million facility and plans to offer aircraft charter, management and maintenance, as well as line service. Aviasur is also in the process of fulfilling the requirements to become an HBC Authorized Service Center for the company's full line of products. In addition to the King Air 350i, Aviasur also owns and charters a Hawker 400XP, which it purchased from HBC in 2006.

"Aviasur has established a modern and high quality facility at Santiago's International Airport and we are pleased to have them as part of the Hawker Beechcraft network," said Keith Nadolski, HBC president, Beechcraft Americas.

Aviasur is strategically located at Santiago's International Airport, Arturo Merino Benítez (SCL). Its facilities are equipped for national and international flights and include a large hangar, a tug capable of towing aircraft of up to 120,000 pounds, fresh water services, ground power units and line maintenance. Aviasur's VIP lounge areas offer passengers and crew members amenities such as Internet, Wi-Fi, Direct TV, and conference and flight planning rooms. The firm's team of qualified professionals and technicians provides aircraft dispatching, meteorology and flight plan services.
