Wedded Bliss at Oxford Airport

With a recession like this one, it pays to be resourceful about revenue generation and promotion.
The business aviation terminal of Oxford Airport was recently transformed into a wedding showcase as Living moved in last week to film its new series 'Four Weddings', which profiles four couples, each planning a wedding or a civil partnership, and attending the other weddings to judge the venue, food, dress and overall presentation. The couple who scores the most points wins a dream honeymoon.
David Surley, Oxford Airport's Head of Customer Services explains, "The filming took place over two days with the brides first being filmed on the airport's apron with executive jets in the background. Then the reveal interviews and winner sequences were filmed in the lounge, where the groom of the winning couple hops out of a limo and runs in to scoop up his partner!"
This is the second time the UK's ITV has filmed at the airport and part of the Girls Aloud Christmas Special was also filmed in the new terminal.
"We are very happy to accommodate filming requests whenever possible," adds David Surley.
Four Weddings (ten part series) airs Monday 6 July.
