Air Berlin Group, Germany's second largest airline, has signed an agreement with Lufthansa Technik (LHT) to provide component support for its entire fleet. Under the total component support contract, which has already taken effect, the MRO company will manage supply of components for the airline group's 737, A320-family, A330 and Bombardier Q400 aircraft. Air Berlin has transferred "a large part" of its spare parts inventory to LHT and will have access to the MRO provider's material warehouses in Hamburg and Frankfurt.
