OpenSkies Puts Amsterdam-New York Route on Hold
Source: fly-corporate.com
Dwindling demand for business class flights has led the British Airways subsidiary OpenSkies to temporarily cease flying Amsterdam-New York.
In spite of a growth in market share of 16% over the past 9 months, the company is not able to run a profitable service on this route.
OpenSkies will concentrate on the Paris-New York route, which has a loyal and increasing passenger base, with numbers up by 9% in the last six months.
Passengers holding OpenSkies Amsterdam-New York tickets can either claim compensation or fly with British Airways via London.
