Robb Report magazine has bestowed its Best of the Best Award upon Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) for the Hawker 900XP's ability to deliver big jet capabilities at a midsize price.
"The Hawker 900XP is gaining attention from businesses ready to 'right-size' from bigger jets," said William J. Curtis, Robb Report Chairman and CEO. "We congratulate Hawker Beechcraft for taking top honours for a second year for its Hawker aircraft."
Compared to larger jets, a Hawker 900XP saves up to 35 percent in fuel costs and up to $33 million (€22 million) in purchase costs. The manufacturer says that advantages to businesses right-sizing to the Hawker 900XP include savings of up to 50 percent in insurance rates, up to 30 percent in crew salaries and $80,000 (€55,000) a year in hangar costs.
