Aviation News Item: 00102 20th Nov 2009 Ascent launches MRO operations in former Hamilton Aerospace and World Jet facilities Source: ubmaviationnews.com Ascent Aviation Services formally launched its MRO operations for commercial aircraft at Tucson International Airport in Arizona yesterday (November 19). The company purchased the assets of former Hamilton Aerospace Technologies and World Jet Corporation, and retained an undisclosed number of employees from those two firms. It specialises in 737 and MD-80 aircraft and performs aircraft heavy maintenance, line maintenance, modification services, transition services, aircraft storage, paint, disassembly and consignment parts sales. Ascent is owned by Victory Park Capital, a Chicago-based asset management firm. |
