Source: fly-corporate.com

The General Dynamics Aviation Services facility at Palm Beach International Airport in West Palm Beach, Fla., received approval from Argentina and the Cayman Islands to perform maintenance on business-jet aircraft registered in the South American country and British territory, respectively.

The approvals came from the Dirección Nacional de Aeronavegabilidad (DNA) in Argentina and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands (CAACI).
"These approvals expand the capabilities of West Palm Beach to serve business-jet operators in the growing South American and Caribbean markets," said Mark Burns, president, General Dynamics Aviation Services. "We have already received our first order to install a flight data recorder on an Argentina-registered GIV."

The Argentina authorisation enables the West Palm Beach site to perform maintenance and alterations on Argentina-registered Gulfstream aircraft, as well as the Bombardier Challenger 600, 601 and 604 models, and the Cessna 750, 500 and 600 series aircraft. The Cayman Islands authorization is for maintenance and alterations on all Gulfstream aircraft; the Hawker Beechcraft 125 series, 400XP, 800XP and 900XP; Dassault Falcon 10, 20, 50, 900/900EX, 2000/2000EX/2000 Ex EASy; Bombardier Challenger 600, 601, 604, 605; and the Cessna 750, 500 and 600 series.

In addition to the United States, the West Palm Beach facility is also authorised to perform maintenance on aircraft registered in Bermuda, Brazil, European Union countries and Venezuela.
